Random update

Ministry
Our Father Day service went well. We had about thirty-five people .We were going to have games and then a sort of picnic, but we got rained out.

FLIES!
The flies are driving me insane!!! If you leave a door open for just a little while you’ll come back to HUNDREDS all over the walls!!! I spent a half an hour killing them the other day, but there were still a ton left!! In a way it brings back certain memories of the north woods!

Extra
I don’t know if any of you have read Backyard Ballistics by William Gurstelle, but if you haven’t you ought to! Last night I was quite board, so I decided to go out and see if I could shoot my brothers potato canon all by myself. Anyway, besides finding out I could, I discovered -after using all the potatoes- that apples don’t go very far, but onions are prime ammo!!! I got one to go about 90 yards! I also attracted about a fifteen people crowd.

I’m still experimenting with Williams”Back porch rocketry” (paper match rockets), but I can’t seem to get them to go more than a couple inches. I don’t know if any one has seen October sky, but I can’t help feeling a bit like them. Well that was the long version. Till later!

Pics from the Nashville Conference

Hello everyone! Here's some (weird) pics. I took while at the Nashville Conference. Hope you like them and see ya later!

Um, Weel, I was experamenting with color and it looks kind of funny! That's me and Sarah Baldwin. She's soo fun! (I'm talking about the pic. above).

Again I was experimenting with color! This is my dear Amber! She's soo much fun and yet she's a godly young lady!!!!

This is in COMMIT. The girl on the left is Joslynn and her best friend on the right is Elizabeth. They were the big group leaders of COMMIT. They, in the pic., were teaching about authority and how if your not under authority you'll get into trouble. (hence the silly string!)

Um, I accidentally got this bad pic. of Liz Baldwin
and now I can't get it off! :(

This is Daniel P., my dearest bro. Jon
and Daniel T. You guys are the craziest!

Me and the most beautiful girl Leah!!! Love ya
tons Leah!

Kimberly and me. Kim's so sweet and cute! I love
her to death! (I mean I love her to life! lol)

Me and Charity! I love you so much Charity! Ur
so sweet!

Hello...

Hello all! It seems like a long time since I've seen everyone! It was so good to see everyone that was at Nachville! I really wish the rest of you could have been there! Seeing everyone was so encouraging! It's as if we're all witnesses to each others lives and seeing everybody reminded me of the commitments and changes I had made in my life while at Journey...it helped keep it alive and real! Thanks everyone for what you've invested in my life! It's been so wonderful getting to know you and to see God work in your lives! I have been so blessed with wonderful new friends this past year! Well just sharing a little of what has been going on in my life...at Journey, God began to grow in me a vision of working with girls in my church. I had had a small bit of this before but it was like "seeing through a glass darkly'' if-know-what-I-mean! Than after coming home form Journey I really wanted to do something but just felt unsure what to do. THAN...dum-dum-de-dum...the Nashville conferance! After the day of fasting and just the whole week I came home and felt very clear direction that I needed to DO something...my parents provided a lot of direction and encouragement, without them this would be a mess...I am currently working on talking to the moms of the girls. I could say lots more but I don't want to bore everyone and I would really appreciate if everyone would pray for me! I really really could use it right now! May the God of all peace bless you today with His joy! Shalom ~Amber

The Nashville Conference From Anna's Perspective

Hello! It's Anna (if you didn't know; David. lol). I decided to tell the ATI Conference from my perspective. I was a COMMIT leader for the first time which was a bit scary! I got there and my girls were a bit shy! After awhile they warmed up and began to hang out! The devotional that we did was sooo easy cause it was taken from Journey to the Heart material! Even though the girls never did any confessing or anything I think the material convicted them. I think all in all being a COMMIT leader was sooo good for me spiritually. Anyway, the student sessions and the regular sessions were definitely Journey to the Heart sermons! Mr. Pierpont preached the exact same message on that last Saturday we were at the tower as he did at the Conference! It brought back sooo many funny memories! Anyway, I need to go for now. oh, the other great thing about the conference was seeing Senator Webster! He told things that go on in Florida that I never knew about! He was really awesome! Anyway, see ya

Nashville ATI Conference 2007

Hello Christian brothers and sisters,

This years ATI Conference was exceptional. Along with the usual activities and speakers, Dr. Gothard decided to experiment with something new. On Thursday, all activities were paused and the entire day was spent fasting and delighting in the Lord; just like at Journey to the Heart.
At first, I was a little disappointed that I would miss a day of the activities. I was excited about being a squad leader for the first time at the ALERT Cadet Challenge and was eager to take on the new responsibility. However, spending time with my family and delighting in the Lord together made Thursday special to me.
The day would have been great by itself, but just like icing on the cake, the eight-hour session was topped off with family communion. It might not sound as interesting to read about this, but to experience it is another story. I hope that all of you will be able to experience this at one of the conferences this year.

May the Lord richly bless you as you delight in Him,
David

Bellow are some pictures from the conference:
